According the eyewitnesses and police reports, a 20-year-old male was driving a pickup truck, heading south on FM359, when he lost control of his vehicle coming into a curve.
The truck hit two Chevy Suburbans, one in the initial impact; the second Chevy was hit after the truck spun after the collision with the first vehicle. The driver of the first Suburban struck was killed instantly. The passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The second Suburban driver was also killed and two passengers in that vehicle were taken to the nearest medical facility in unknown conditions.
When police arrived on the accident scene, they reported that the pickup driver showed clearly visible indications of being under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to hospital for treatment and sent on to county jail. The police planned to charge him with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
